Laminate Veneers

Laminate veneers are 0.3 - 0.7 mm thick porcelain layers that are applied to the visible front surfaces of the teeth without cutting the teeth or with minimal abrasion of the visible front surfaces (0.5-1 mm). It is also called leaf porcelain. Especially the incisors, premolars, and the same teeth on the opposite jaw that appear when the person smiles are suitable for this procedure. It allows us to change the aesthetic appearance, brightness and color by covering the front surface of the tooth. This material, which looks fragile and shapeless before bonding due to its thin structure, is very strong, resistant to breakage and offers an aesthetic appearance after bonding, and is also resistant to abrasion. It adheres to the enamel tissue of the tooth. Once bonded, it establishes a chemical bond with the tooth. The laminate surface does not retain stains such as tea, coffee and cigarette stains. In order for laminate to be performed, the patient must have healthy gums; In addition, it should be planned, produced and bonded in a way that fits perfectly with the gum tissue and does not cause damage. After examining the patient, the physician decides whether the patient is suitable for lamina.
In what cases can laminate be applied?
* In patients who are not satisfied with their smile
* For aesthetic complaints arising from color change in the front teeth
* In the arrangement of broken and deformed teeth
* Bringing small teeth to normal sizes
* Closing the gaps between teeth
* Preventing gum recession and related sensitivity
*To lengthen the teeth in cases where the upper lip prevents the front teeth from being seen.
